Sister Cecilia was born on September 22, 1929 in Nagasaki, and baptized a few days later.  Having grown up in a staunch Catholic family, she is said to have sung “Adoro Te Devote“ at the age of 4 or 5.  She was one member of the first class who entered our Community in Japan in 1951. She made First Vows in 1953.

Many Sisters were watching and praying at the bedside of Sister Cecilia Hisamatsu as she passed away at noon 12:37 on January 20. 

Let us thank God for giving Sister Cecilia to our Community and Sister Cecilia for being with us in our religious life. May the Lord who invited her to “Come!” give her eternal rest.  May we be confident that she will be our advocate from now on.
